Curator's Note

I'm not a journalist, a developer, or a political professional, I'm a Newport Beach resident who got curious about a few decisions being made in my city and wanted real answers. Between work, family, and everyday life, none of us really has time to read every staff report, sit through every meeting, or track down every public record ourselves, and I don't think that should mean we're stuck being uninformed.

I used Claude (an AI research assistant) and Lovable (an AI website builder) to make this possible. I'm not an expert claiming special authority here, I'm really just the conduit connecting these tools to my own hometown, gathering and organizing what's already public. My goal starts with something simple: I wanted to be a genuinely informed voter myself. If this makes that a little easier for my neighbors too, even better.

I see this as an ongoing project, not a finished one. If you see something I've missed, gotten wrong, or would do differently, I'd genuinely love to hear it. Being a good citizen doesn't mean having all the answers, it means being willing to keep looking.

For internet privacy reasons, I don't publish my full name on the site. I'm happy to share it in a direct conversation once we've confirmed we're both Newport Beach residents.
